■Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista twisted his right ankle in the fourth inning while sliding awkwardly into third base. He is day-to-day.

Ryan Braun returned to the Brewers lineup after an eight-game absence (calf strain) and had two hits to extend his hitting streak to 23 games.

■Twins catcher Joe Mauer had his career-best errorless streak broken at 96 games when he skipped a throw by starter Francisco Liriano at home plate in the first inning.

■The Rockies had a season-high 20 hits.

■Second base umpire Brian O’Nora left the Brewers-Rockies game in Denver because of a back problem. He was replaced by Cory Blaser.
