Authorities say a trash collector has died after slipping off the back of a truck picking up rubbish in Methuen and being run over by the vehicle. A spokesman for the Essex district attorney’s office said that Keimani Bell, 28, of Boston was pronounced dead at the scene at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. Witnesses told police that Bell had just grabbed a bag of trash, lost his footing, and fell under the truck, which was backing up. Authorities told The Eagle-Tribune that there was no indication of foul play and that no charges were filed. The name of the truck driver was not released. The truck is owned by F.W. Russell & Sons of Somerville. The company had no comment. (AP)
