TBILISI - The personal photographer to the Georgian president yesterday admitted to supplying a press photographer with secret information that was sent to a Russian secret service. Irakli Gedenidze said he gave Zurab Kurtsikidze details of the president’s itinerary and offices for money. The two and photographer Georgy Abdaladze were charged with espionage.

24-hour toll: 40 deaths tied to gangs
MEXICO CITY - Fighting among the Zetas gang and other drug cartels led to the deaths of more than 40 people in three Mexican cities in a 24-hour span, an official said yesterday. At least 20 people were killed when gunmen opened fire in a bar late Friday in Monterrey. Eleven bodies were found earlier Friday near Mexico City, and 10 yesterday in Torreon.
