2 dead, 1 hurt in Holyoke head-on crash

Two people have died in a head-on car crash in Holyoke.

Police say an SUV traveling west on Route 202 at about 4:30 p.m. on Thursday crossed the center line and struck a Chevrolet Malibu heading east.

The driver and the passenger in the Malibu were taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield where they were pronounced dead. Their names were not immediately released, but they were described as a 46-year-old woman and a 47-year-old man.
