Abortion rights are human rights

RE DONALD Lyman Jr.’s letter decrying abortion (“Politically, judicially, no more pressing issue than abortion,’’ June 30): The issue of abortion, as Lyman stated, is indeed about human rights. It is about the right of a human woman to decide for her human self what to do about an unwanted state of pregnancy.

If, in this land of freedom, people had full information about, and full access to, the ways in which an unwanted pregnancy can be prevented, women would not have to endure such a situation.
