TOMORROW Royal period In 1927, Cape Ann artist Margaret Fitzhugh Browne got a commission to paint King Alfonso XIII of Spain. A little over a decade later she had more than 125 portraits under her belt, and her style, which focused on bringing out unique characteristics of her subjects, was established. Big band The CD release for the Art Felluca Group’s “Inward’’ (rescheduled from February) features the composer, arranger, and woodwind player’s 11-piece band plus guest vocalist Christine Fawson. Steel yourself When working-class West Indian immigrants David Hinds, Ronnie “Stepper’’ McQueen, and Basil Gabbidon started the band Steel Pulse in 1975 England, they had little musical experience but a lot of chutzpah and soul. They honed their technique opening for bands such as the Clash and the Police while establishing their sound and popularity. In the old ’hood Explore one of Boston’s oldest neighborhoods with historian Charles Bahne in The Back of Beacon Hill.
