Spirit Airlines is launching daily nonstop service between Logan International Airport and O’Hare International Airport on Aug. 18, with roundtrip fares starting at $178. That is $30 cheaper than the $208 fare offered by American Airlines, United Airlines, and JetBlue Airways.
Chicago will be Spirit’s first non-East Coast destination out of Boston; the low-cost carrier currently flies nonstop from Logan to Atlantic City, Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
