Josh Beckett has the bug — "Intestinal turmoil" as Terry Francona puts it — and won't pitch tomorrow. Alfredo Aceves (3-1, 3.30) will start in his place. There is no word on when he will make his next start.
Aceves last pitched on Thursday, throwing 32 pitches against the Rays. So he'll be working on normal rest for a starter.
