Jury deliberates in Blagojevich corruption retrial

Jurors at the retrial of ex-Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich are set to continue deliberations.

The 11 women and one man begin their first full day of deliberations Monday. The jury got the case on Friday and received jury instructions.

At the first trial, jurors took two weeks and then deadlocked on all but one charge.

There are 20 counts against the former governor at the second trial. Among other allegations, he is accused of trying to sell or trade an appointment to President Barack Obama’s vacated Senate seat.

The jurors include a former church choir director, a bartender and dietitian.
