Somerville needs your vote – right now

Somerville’s innovative healthy living program, Shape Up Somerville is up for a federal award. If it wins, it means money to fund programs in our community. Yet to win, the City needs people to go online and vote for Shape Up. Right now, Somerville is running second to a farmers’ market in Brownsville, Texas.
 
Are you kidding? Somerville should win this thing going away. What we need is for you to vote right now. Not tomorrow or later today or in a few minutes. To vote, you can go to this link on challenge.gov and then click on the vote box next to Somerville. There is a brief registration (name and e-mail address) required to vote. Then you verify your vote once you get a confirmation e-mail and you’re done. It takes less than a minute and feel free to use every e-mail address you own.
 
Somerville has, by far, the most innovative, far-reaching program of the finalists. A simple vote on your part can help a worthy winner continue pursue initiatives that benefit our entire community. So, please, vote now.
