First Beach in Newport is a great place to relax — and now with professional advice on how to best do it, with summer yoga classes offered there, starting May 28 through Labor Day, held on Saturday mornings at 8:30 a.m.

The one-hour classes, weather permitting, are held in collaboration with the Newport Park and Rec Department and run by Innerlight Center for Yoga and Meditation in Middletown. No yoga experience is necessary, classes are designed for all levels and each begins with gentle standing poses with a seated mediation or reclined relaxation finishing up. Drop-in fee is $12 per one-hour session; a season pass is available for $225. Visit www.innerlightyoga.com or call 401-849-3200 for info.

A $10 parking fee for lot 2 will be refunded if participants leave right after class. But with all that relaxing to do, why rush off?
