Shedding for the Wedding 9 p.m., Channel 56

On this new series from the executive producer of “The Biggest Loser,’’ nine overweight couples compete to lose pounds before they tie the knot. They’ll live together, work out together, and be supervised by a “celebrity nutritionist.’’ The big prize: A “dream wedding,’’ which will probably feature a feast of amazingly rich food. The now-skinny Sara Rue, who is a spokesperson for a popular weight loss program, is the host. Pictured: wedding planner Brian Worley and Rue.

Justified 10 p.m., FX

Yeah, you’re not watching, are you? It’s OK, I forgive you, more or less. Maybe I’m off on this one, but I think “Justified’’ is one of the best shows on TV right now. It has so much texture, with the Kentucky setting and backwoods characters, and Timothy Olyphant is a sly lead. And this season — tonight is the third episode — has been remarkably strong so far.

Law & Order: SVU 10 p.m., Channel 7

Grown-up bullies. Like the critic who pushes “Justified.’’

Meth: A County in Crisis 9 p.m., Lifetime

They can’t theem to keep it clean.

I Shouldn’t Be Alive 9 p.m., Animal Planet

A climber with attitude sickness? Hate huh. Oh, wait. . .

You Can’t Take It With You 10 p.m., TCM

That’s what She said.
