With hundreds of hikes in the White Mountains, it can be a trick zeroing in on one that suits your family’s interests and abilities. Through Oct. 15, the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) is offering free access to 25 maps with detailed, printable itineraries for its top child-friendly routes, including hikes to waterfalls, lakes, and scenic viewpoints, and places to ramble just off the Kancamagus Scenic Byway.
