Dexter Tomorrow at 9 p.m., Showtime
“Dexter’’ changed this year. No longer fiercely holding on to his code, our serial-killing hero stopped his weekly vigilante murders, caused a few innocent deaths, and obsessed over the Trinity Killer to the point of self-disclosure. The show, largely thanks to John Lithgow, also veered further than ever into camp. I still found the season entertaining, and Michael C. Hall was as compelling as ever; but the writers lost some of my reverence as they lost control of the plot details. Plus, Rita was more annoying than ever. Tomorrow night: the finale.
