CSI: Crime Scene Investigation 9 p.m., Channel 4

This repeat from last season features country singer Taylor Swift in her first - and inauspicious - acting role. But I mention the episode because it’s a good example of how the “CSI’’ writers have tried to stay inventive across nine seasons. As Nick pieces together three murders that occurred in the same motel over the course of a year, and deals with his own guilty conscience, the narrative washes in and out of chronology.

Burn Notice 9 p.m., USA The “Burn Notice’’ writers are starting to bring in new characters for multi-episode arcs, to keep the central characters busy. Ben Shenkman is the latest, as Tom Stickler, the guy who wants to be Mikey’s agent. Shenkman has been around, in movies and on TV shows, but I remember him best as one of the stars of HBO’s “Angels in America.’’ He played Louis. Dark Victory 10 p.m., TCM Dedicated to Debbie Downer. Hey, that’s alliteration. Moments of Impact 9 p.m., Discovery Channel When a volcano erupts, run away. Aphorism. Hot Dog Paradise 8 p.m., Travel Channel Oxymoronic title. Big Brother 11 8 p.m., Channel 4 This week’s loser? There’s something redundant about that. Labor Pains 8 p.m., ABC Family Oh no! LiLo! Couplet.
