AMERICA’S SWEETHEARTS
(Encore on Comcast) Julia Roberts frumps down for her second-fiddle role in this satire about the shaky egos of film-biz megastars. The comedy frumps down, too. There are laughs, especially when a nervous publicist played by Billy Crystal dishes out one-liners. But Catherine Zeta-Jones and John Cusack, as feuding headliners, are stuck with one-note characters and the farce never quite zooms into orbit. (PG-13; runs through July 30)
LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS
(Encore on Comcast) Rick Moranis stars as the nerdy Seymour in director Frank Oz’s remake of Roger Corman’s original tacky movie and adaptation of the off-Broadway play. Buoyed by Steve Martin’s sadistic dentist, this musical is solid entertainment. (PG-13; runs through July 30)
