WASHINGTON - Amtrak has cut fares on regional trains in the Northeast by 25 percent for the summer travel season as it seeks to rekindle demand.
Amtrak also extended a February price reduction on high-speed Acela trains, which run on the Boston-Washington route, the rail operator said yesterday.
The fares are available for purchase for travel June 2 through Sept. 3, and reservations must be made 14 days in advance of travel.
