BEDFORD - Interactive Data Corp. has a new chief executive and board member as part of a previously disclosed succession plan.

Raymond L. D'Arcy, 56, succeeds Stuart Clark as president and CEO, the company said yesterday.

Clark, 61, will serve as an adviser until his retirement this summer.

IDC, which provides financial market data, had previously revealed the succession plan, which began in May 2008 when Clark said he intended to retire this year. D'Arcy was selected by the board in November.

D'Arcy has held senior sales, marketing, product management, and finance positions at Interactive Data over 30 years.

The company's shares fell 83 cents, or 3.9 percent, to $21.79.
