Think warm thoughts by casting your eyes on works of seasonal art at the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen's Gallery 205, in Concord through April 24. The exhibition features the spirit and life of the garden. Flowers, leaves, and plants are depicted through handcrafted pottery, jewelry, leather, fiber, wood, glass, prints, and photography. "Planting and growing flowers and vegetables is a fascinating, wondrous activity and this exhibition celebrates it," said Susie Lowe-Stockwell, executive director. "It also offers a welcome respite from the winter weather."

It will be months before visitors get to experience the glorious gardens of Pickity Place in Mason, N.H., but in April the greenhouse, with its unusual varieties of herbs and perennials, will reopen its doors for the season. And if the place looks familiar, you must be a fan of fairy tales: The 200-year-old cottage that is now a restaurant featuring herbal menus was the illustrative site for the 1948 English edition of "Little Red Riding Hood" by Elizabeth Orton Jones.
