With Virgin America prepared to launch service from Boston to San Francisco and Los Angeles on Feb. 12, JetBlue said it will revive plans for service between Boston and New York to Los Angeles International Airport starting June 17.
JetBlue had planned to launch service out of Los Angeles last summer but pulled back, citing record fuel costs. The discount carrier, which hasn't decided on fares for the twice-daily service, will begin selling tickets for the routes Wednesday. In December, after Virgin disclosed its Boston plans, JetBlue said it would restore nonstop flights to San Francisco on a seasonal basis starting May 1.
