The words roll sweetly across the tongue: Falmouth, Chatham, Mashpee, Teaticket, Cotuit, Truro, and all the other place names that represent Cape Cod. Summertime is busy time here, which means that excitement and prices are at their height. Nonetheless, many lodging places add several "extras" to attract your attention. A sampler:
Ashley Manor, a six-room bed-and-breakfast in Barnstable, offers a One Enchanted Evening package as a way to celebrate special occasions. Featured are chilled champagne in your room upon arrival and complimentary cordials; a Jacuzzi "goodie" bag with bath crystals and lotions; and a $50 dinner voucher valid at several participating mid-Cape restaurants. Among rooms at the inn are four suites with working fireplaces, Jacuzzi whirlpool tubs for two, and queen or king canopy or high-poster beds. The package is $120 over the cost of a room, which for suites is $175-$225. And despite the name of the package, a minimum two-night stay is required on weekends.
