Twins 4, Indians 3 -- Corey Koskie homered and hit a go-ahead two-run single in the eighth, lifting host Minnesota.
The Twins can still begin the playoffs at home if they win today and tomorrow. Minnesota would host the Red Sox in Game 1 beginning Tuesday. If not, the Twins would open at Yankee Stadium.
Elsewhere -- David Bush pitched a two-hitter for the first complete game of his major league career, and Toronto beat Orlando Hernandez and visiting New York, 7-0 . . . Rob Bell came within an out of his first career shutout as the Devil Rays beat host Detroit, 4-1, . . . Jon Garland earned the win as visiting Chicago beat Kansas City, 4-2.
